After watching, I started looking around (the internet) for other reviews, and found this article from World Literature Today, where they (Tammy Lai-Ming Ho & Julien Jeusette) mention an essay by Wu Ming 1 (aka Roberto Bui) that makes the point “not to validate paranoia but to restore discernment”.
I later looked up the word “bugonia” to find that it was an ancient Mediterranean (Greek) practice of sacrificing a bull which would then generate a house full of bees.
