“Sankofa Bird Under Night Sun and Two Moons” (2019)

Sankofa is a Twi word from the Akan people of Ghana that means “to go back and get it”. Adinkra symbol that depicts a bird with its head turned backward while its feet face forward. Sankofa encourages people to learn from the past to inform the future.
