Milwaukee’s “Flutes at Dawn”

So, the other day I was online, checking in on the Kenosha Community Media Youtube page, and I found a recent upload titled, “Highlights of Flutes at Dawn: Black History in Film and Music“.

I click on it, and find this thoughtful presentation by “Flutes at Dawn” founder Kiran Vedula, talking about music, films about music, and creating music.

The presentation, given at the Southwest branch of the Kenosha Public Library, is available to watch below, thanks to Kenosha Community Media for recording the event.

Scroll down for more videos from “Flutes at Dawn” and a link to their website.

“Flutes at Dawn” is a metaphor. It’s about the moment of inspiration and the creative process that gets us there.
